Removing the Power-Button Board
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Remove the battery (see
Removing the Battery
).
3.
Remove the palm-rest assembly (see
Removing the Palm-Rest Assembly
).
4.
Turn the palm-rest assembly over.
5.
Lift the connector latch and pull the pull-tab to disconnect the power-button cable from the connector on the power-button board.
6.
Remove the two screws that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
7.
Lift the power-button board off the palm-rest assembly.
Replacing the Power-Button Board
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Place the power-button board on the palm-rest assembly and replace the two screws that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
3.
Slide the power-button cable into the connector on the power-button board and press down on the connector latch to secure the power-button cable.
4.
Replace the palm-rest assembly (see
Replacing the Palm-Rest Assembly
).
