Front USB Port Assembly 

Dell™ Vostro™ 230 Service Manual—

Mini Tower 

Removing the Front USB Port Assembly 

 

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.  

2.

Remove the 

cover

.  

3.

Remove the 

front bezel

.  

4.

Disconnect the USB cable from the system board. 

  

5.

Release the USB cable from its retention clip on the chassis. 

  

6.

Loosen the screws that secure the front USB port assembly to the computer. 

  

7.

Remove the USB port from the computer. 

  

Replacing the Front USB Port Assembly 

To replace the front USB port assembly, perform the above steps in reverse order.
