Example of External SCSI Cabling Configurations

Connecting the External AC Power Cable

Perform the following steps to connect the external AC power cable.

Make sure that the AC power switch is OFF (“O” on the power switch).

Connect the female end of the AC power cable to the AC power receptacle.

Plug the male end of the AC power cable into the AC power source.

When connecting to AC power sources with non-US AC power connectors, it may be
necessary to replace the power plug to suit local standards. This should be done by a
qualified Dell service technician.
