Main Menu
Status Display
The first line of the Status Display (the library status line) shows the state of the CAP.
The normal CAP states are:
The remaining three lines of the Status Display show information about the DLT drives,
including drive type and current operational status.
The possible messages displayed for current drive operational status are:
Main Menu Options
Option Description
Status Display Shows the current library and DLT drive status
Library Utilities Provides library diagnostics, error and configuration
information, and sets library configuration.
Drive Utilities Provides choices for cleaning the DLT drives.
CAP States
State Description
CAP Locked, No Entry The Cartridge Access Port (CAP) cannot be used.
ENTER Unlocks CAP The Cartridge Access Port (CAP) can be unlocked by
pressing the ENTER key.
CAP Unlocked The Cartridge Access Port (CAP) is ready to be opened.
Drive Operational Status Messages
Message Description
Comm Err Communication error.
Hdw Err Hardware error.
Clean Me The drive needs cleaning.
