Descaling the kettle  

Descaling extends the life of your kettle. 
Descaling period depends on the water 
hardness of your area.

 Fill the kettle with water, up to three 

quarters of the maximum level.

 Add vinegar or citric acid in the kettle up to 

the maximum level.

 Boil the solution (refer to Operation 

section).

 After the kettle has switched off, unplug the 

appliance.  

Leave the solution in the kettle for a few 

hours.

 Pour out the solution and rinse the inside 

thoroughly.

 Fill the kettle with clean water and boil the 

water.

 Empty the kettle and rinse it with water 

again.  

Notes

  

If there is still some scale, repeat the 
procedure.  
You can also use a descaler which is 
appropriate for utensils. If you use a 
descaler, please follow the instructions of 
that particular descaler.

 Let the appliance cool down completely.  

Use a damp soft cloth and a little mild 

cleanser to clean the exterior of the 
appliance.  

Note  

Before using the appliance after cleaning, 
dry all parts carefully using a soft towel.
