14. Online CLU
INSTALLING CLU IN A LOCAL AREA NETWORK (LAN)
The protocol between CLU and the charge points is proprietary. The charging stations are
therefore not assigned IP addresses. Only the CLU has an IP address in the data network.
The CLU requires a data network with DHCP, but reservation of an IP address in the network
can be used. The CLU normally has an OUI with the first six characters being B827EB. All
data is initiated by the CLU via WebSocket on port 443, but data will both be sent to and
received from the CLU. The IP address of the server will vary.
NB! Please note that some networks may need an exception in the firewall to let the CLU
communicate to the backend as intended.
INTERNET FOR MORE THAN ONE CLU IN A FACILITY
Several CLU can be connected to the same internet connection. Either through a common
modem or a common ethernet switch. Keep in mind the loss of redundancy when using
one common network device. The two main network solutions are shown in the illustrations
below.
15. Download of configuration
NB! CLU device must be connected to network to download the configuration. (For more info
related to network connection, see chapter 14).
NB! The Facilityform for the facility need to filled in and verified before the configuration will be
available for download. Link:
