6. Troubleshooting
This chapter is in two sections. The first section is trou-
bleshooting ideas for resolving issues when using your
ProCheck. The second section is for troubleshooting soft-
ware issues with ECH
2
O Utility.
Troubleshooting the ProCheck
To ensure operation of your ProCheck, please consider the
following:
Batteries
: Be sure your ProCheck has sufficient battery
power. The ProCheck screen shows a battery icon in the
upper right corner. When the battery power is low, replace
the batteries. You can also use ECH
2
O Utility to check
your battery power. Make sure you insert the batteries in
the correct orientation when replacing them.
Sensors Plugged Securely
: Check that your sensor connec-
tor is fully engaged with the connector on the ProCheck.
Correct Sensor Type
: Be sure to select the correct sensor
from the sensor menu on the main screen. Making mea-
surements with an incorrect sensor type selected will create
incorrect measurements.
Troubleshooting ProCheck Readings
PROBLEM
: My ProCheck says “Above Range or “Below
Range” in the display.
