INSPECTION STEPS:
Per the intervals defined, inspect the Toggle Anchor as follows:
Step 1. Make sure the Toggle Anchor is straight and is operating smoothly.
Step 2. Make sure the Swivel Ring (1A) swivels freely and the Retaining Ring (1I) is secure.
Step 3. Make sure the label is attached to the Toggle Anchor and is legible (see Section 8).
Step 4. Make sure the Main Cable (1D) and Activator Cables (1E) are not frayed, kinked, or damaged.
Step 5. Make sure metal components are not damaged or excessively corroded.
Step 6. Make sure the Toggle(1G), Hole Plug (1F), and Activator Cable (1E) operate smoothly and no metal burrs are present.
Ensure the Swivel Ring (1A) and Toggle do not exhibit any deformities.
Step 7. Inspect the position of the top of the Activator Cable relative to the Red Warning Tube (see Figure 8).
When the Shuttle is secured (Toggle open), the top of the Activator Cable (7A) should be positioned
below the Red Warning Tube (7B). When the Shuttle is released (Toggle closed), the top of the Activator
Cable (7A) should be adjacent to the Red Warning Tube (7B).

Record the inspection results in the Periodic Examination and Repair History
in the“General Instructions for Use and Maintenance” (5902392).

®
Toggle Anchor is determined by work conditions and maintenance.
As long as the product passes inspection criteria and has not arrested a fall, it may remain in service.
MAINTENANCE & SERVICE:
Guidelines for maintaining and servicing the are as follows:
Cleaning:
After each use, blow off the toggle with compressed air. Keep the anchor free of grease, oils, and dirt.
Storage:
Store the toggle in a clean dry environment. Avoid areas where chemical vapors may exist. Do not pile
objects on top of the anchor. Thoroughly inspect the Toggle Anchor after extended storage.
