1.4. Satefy Standards
Precautions to be taken during the product operation :
DANGER:
Abnormal conditions
: The extended use of the instrument whilst it
emits smoke or strange odours can cause fire hazards and electric
shocks. Disconnect the power supply immediately and contact the
local Dayco Europe sales manager.
Water and foreign materials
: Should any foreign material (metals,
water and other liquids) penetrate the instrument, disconnect the
power supply immediately and contact the local Dayco Europe sales
manager.
Accidental damage
: Should the instrument be damaged, disconnect
it from the mains outlet and contact the local Dayco Europe sales
manager.
Disassembly
: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the instru-
ment in any way, as this could cause fire hazards and electric
shocks.
Location
: Keep the instrument away from particularly hot areas and
from areas where it could be exposed to oil fumes or vapours.

WARNING:
Foreign matters
: do not introduce any foreign matter etc, into the
connectors; this could cause instrument failures.
Maintenance
: Never use diluents, cosmetics or
any
other volatile
agents to clean the instruments external parts. Only ever use a cloth
dampened in a diluted solution of water and delicate detergent.

Conditions of use. This instrument has been designed and tested to
operate safely. This instruction manual contains information and
warnings that should be followed by the user to guarantee the safe
operation of the instrument and maintain the instruments condi-
tion.
