The hinge should line up vertically in between the two horizontal mounting plates
on the Mulch Mate, once you have the holes lined up you will slide the shaft from the
top down into the hinge, making sure the hole in the shaft is at the top. Now install the
safety pin in the hole at the top of the shaft. The pin should go through the hole in the
shaft AND the hole in the plate next to the shaft (fig 3).
NOTE
never hit the shafts with a metal hammer or object. If you need to force the shafts
into place
ONLY
use a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer.
