1.0 GENERAL
The DV-44 is a time controlled relay box with
which a maximum of 16 x 600 watt fittings or 20
x 400 watt fittings can be switched.
1.1 TECHNICAL DATA
Dimensions
: 210 x 290 x 90mm.
Required voltage
: 230 Vac / 50Hz.
Max. output
: 4 x 15 Ampere.
Isolation level
: IP-44
1.2 REQUIRED (ACTIVE) VOLTAGE DV-44
To connect the DV-44 you will preferably need a
‘clean’ Group of at least 15 Amp. A ‘clean’ group
means that this Group will only be used by the
DV-44. If you do not have a(n) (extra) ‘clean’
group we advise you to have the DV-44 installed
by a certified installer.
The DV-44 has four 15 Amp (thermal) fuses.
These fuses turn off the DV-44 automatically in
case of an overload and / or a short circuit.
1.3 INSTALLATION OF THE DV-44
Remove the front panel of the DV-44 housing.
At each corner of the housing you will find a
fixing hole, which you can use to insert a screw.
You can mount the housing onto a (flat) surface
with the 4 screws.
CAUTION!
The analogue timer is a sensitive part of the DV-
44, and is not resistant to hard shocks.
• Place the DV-44 close to your ‘clean’ group.
At the bottom of the DV-44 you will find four
grounded (230v.) connection cords
• Install, if needed, a grounded outlet on each
of your four ‘clean’ groups.
• Plug the four connection cords into the outlets
of each of their ‘clean’ groups.
• The four connection cords are now divided
over four different ‘clean’ groups.
• Your DV-44 is now connected to the mains
voltage.
1.4 CONNECTING EQUIPMENT TO THE DV-44
You can connect 16 x 600 watt or 20 x 400 watt
fittings to your DV-44.
In steps 1.2 and 1.3 you have;
• Connected your DV-44 to a ‘clean’ group,
• Mounted it onto a flat surface,
• Connected it to the mains voltage.
Now the electric ballasts (fittings) will have to be
connected to the DV-44.
Please read the installation manual carefully
before you connect the electric ballasts, In order
to connect them properly.
If the electric ballasts have been properly
connected there will be a 230v. cord on each of
the electric ballasts.
Divide all the connection cords of the electric
ballasts to four connection cords (max. length
1.5 meter)
All four connection cords can now be plugged
into one of the four power outlets (sockets) on
the sides of the DV-44.
You now have connected the electric ballasts to
the DV-44.
