The Cooling System
The radiator filler cap is shown in Fig. 1. Fill with clean, soft, water
only.
The cylinder block draincock (shown in Fig. 10) is closed when the
handle is in line with the tap. Fig. 10 also indicates the position of the
radiator drain tap.
Both taps must be open to drain the system completely.
The Fuel System
Filler caps for petrol and vaporizing oil tanks are shown in Fig. 1.
Do not overfill, as this may result in splashing.
The fuel tap (Fig. 2) has three positions, which are indicated. Rear
position allows petrol to flow into the carburettor, mid position is " OFF " ·
and front is for vaporizing oil.
The carburettor drain tap is showq in Fig. 10.
Air Cleaner
The base may he removed by releasing the clamps (Fig. 10
)

Engine
The filler and dipstick are shown in Fig. 8, the drain plug for the sump
in Fig. 11 and the water pump greaser in Fig. 10.

Gearbox
The alternative· types of fillers and dipsticks are shown in Figs. 4 and
5 and the drain plug in Fig. 14.
Final lleduction llnits
Filler and level plugs and the inspection and draining plate are shown
in Fig. 6.

Drain plug shown in Fig. 14. The oil level is automatieally maintained
from the transmission. No attention is required beyond periodic d:rnining
and refilling.
