Trouble Shooting
Problem 1:
Temperature display is flashing a fault code

Check POOL sensor cable is intact, the brass sensor is properly
fitted into the pipe and connector (BLACK) is properly plugged into
the control unit.

Cold roof temperatures can cause this fault code. Wait for the day
to warm up before taking action.
Check ROOF temperature cable is intact and connector (RED) is
properly plugged into unit.

Check both POOL & ROOF temperature cables are intact and
connectors are properly plugged into unit
Problem 2:
PUMP RUN LED is flashing:

Flashing
• Indicates no water flow available to solar pump (if optional switch
is fitted). Wait for pool filtration pump to turn on.
• Indicates that blank flow sensor connector is disconnected or loose
Problem 3:
No display on Screen:

Solution / Action
No power
to unit
• Mains power outlet switched OFF. Turn ON
• SolarMatic not plugged into mains power outlet. Connect plug.
• SolarMatic controller not ON. Press POWER Button ON
Problem 4:
Pool not heating / Not hot enough:
Cause
Solution / Action
ROOF temperature is below
SET temperature
Wait for weather to warm and ROOF tempera-
ture to rise
POOL temperature is above
SET temperature
Change your SET temperature if pool requires
a higher temperature
Insufficient solar radiation or
solar collectors to adequately
heat your pool.
Wait for weather to warm and ROOF tempera-
ture to rise.
Check that enough solar collector has been
installed to heat your pool size
Problem 5:
Pool trying to heat in Winter:
It is possible for the solar
pump to run in Winter if it is
operating conditions are met
(see SolarMatic Operating
Instructions).
Reduce the SET temperature to its minimum
value. When the weather begins to warm again
simply return the SET temperature to its nor-
mal comfort value.
NOTE:
The AutoPurge will still operate.
