3.8.1 Buttons 

 
The BUTTONS Applet allows assigning desired applications to be launched by one 
of the function keys (F1, F2, F3, F4).

On a Windows Mobile unit the user is also able to assign a shortcut to a function key. 
The default programs/shortcut assigned to the function keys on Windows Mobile are 
the following: 
   
F1 : select the Left Soft Key 
F2 : select the Right Soft Key 
F3 : open the Start Menu 
F4 : open the Today Screen 
 

 

 
To configure the way up/down and the rest of keys control repeats, use the Up/Down 
Control applet (Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Buttons -> Up/Down Control).
