Chapter 3: Printer Manager
This
section
describes
Printer
Manager,
the
Datacard
web
service
available
to
users,
administrators,
and
Datacard
service
providers.
Printer Manager
Printer
Manager
is
a
web
service
that
displays
information
about
the
printer.
System
administrators
or
service
providers
can
use
the
Printer
Manager
to
fine
‐
tune
card
appearance,
set
advanced
options,
and
troubleshoot
printing
problems.
Access
the
Printer
Manager
using
an
Internet
browser
and
the
IP
address
of
the
printer.
The
Printer
Manager
includes
user
access
levels
that
control
the
type
of
information
that
can
be
viewed.
You
can
choose
from
three
user
access
levels
to
perform
a
variety
of
basic
and
advanced
tasks:
WebUser,
WebAdmin,
and
WebService.
Access the Printer Manager
The
initial
Printer
Manager
screen
allows
users
to
log
in
with
a
user
name
and
password
that
determine
their
user
access
level.
The
user
access
level
determines
which
menu
items,
options,
and
adjustments
are
available.
1.
Make
sure
that
the
printer's
LCD
panel
displays
Ready
.
2.
Access
the
Printer
Manager
in
one
of
two
ways:
•
If
you
are
using
the
Card
Printer
Driver,
open
the
Printer
Properties
window
and
select
the
Printer
Status
tab.
•
Click
Configure
Printer
to
launch
the
Printer
Manager
in
your
default
browser.
OR
•
Obtain
the
printer
network
IP
address
and
write
it
down.
Refer
to
the
printer’s
installation
instructions
for
detailed
procedures.
•
Open
a
web
browser
on
the
PC.
