4.1.1 Selecting a location in cold climates

•   To prevent exposure to wind, install the unit with its suction side facing the wall.
•   Never install the unit at a site where the suction side may be exposed directly to wind.
•   To prevent exposure to wind, install a baffle plate on the air discharge side of the unit.
•   In heavy snowfall areas, it is very important to select an installation site where the snow will not affect the unit. If lateral snowfall is possible,

make sure that the heat exchanger coil is not affected by the snow (if necessary construct a lateral canopy).

When operating the unit in cold climates,be sure to follow the instructions described below.

4.1.2 Prevent sunshine

As the outdoor temperature is measured via the monobloc air thermistor,make sure to install the monobloc in the shade or a canopy should

be constructed to avoid direct sunlight,so that it is not influenced by the sun's heat,otherwise protection may be possible to the unit.

Uncovered scene,anti-snow shed must be installed:
(1)

T

o prevent rain and snow from hitting the heat exchanger,resulting in poor heating capacity of the unit,after long time accumulation, the

heat exchanger freezes;
(2)

T

o prevent the monobloc air thermistor from being exposed to the sun,resulting in failure to boot;

(3)

T

o prevent freezing rain.
