Sleeve.

) Reverse order for
reassembly.
Lubricate O-Rings with
SILICONE GREASE
before reinserting and
turning Quartz Sleeve
to locked position.

) To remove bulb,
grasp bulb at base
and pull straight
upwards.
Flex metal tabs on
socket outward to
help release bulb.

) Lift and remove the
Blue Upper Center Tube
with Elbow.
Remove the Elbow.

) Turn the Quartz
Sleeve Removal
Tool counter-
clockwise approxi-
mately

turn until
it stops. The Quartz
Sleeve is now
unlocked.
Quartz Sleeve Removal / Bulb Removal

) Disconnect power,
remove filter cover and
place upside down on
a stable surface.

) Invert & place Blue Center Tube
back down over hex nut. It can
now be used as the removal tool.
Do not use
petroleum
based
lubricants.

The quartz sleeve
removal tool is
molded in BLUE
material. It func-
tions as the Upper
Center Tube during
filter operation and
becomes the
QUARTZ SLEEVE
Removal Tool
when inverted.
