System cleanup: Removes old log files and perform disk cleanup

Remove all configurations (not charts): Removes all configuration files, system log files and
logbook files to make a virgin system. Installed charts are not removed. (System will restart)

Reset to factory defaults: Removes all configuration files, installed charts, logbooks and
system logs. (System will restart)

Dump for support: Makes a “dump for support” to help external support.
8.2 Replacement of defective DPU
8.2.1 Replacement of defective DPU with intact SSD
With power off (the AC BREAKER popped out), move the CF-SSD and the USB hardware key to
the new DPU and install the new DPU in the main cabinet
8.2.2 Replacement of defective DPU with defective SDD
With power off (the AC BREAKER popped), install a DPU with a new CF-SSD and the original
USB hardware key in the main cabinet; do not connect any cables to the Ethernet ports at this time.
Restore the backup made from the failed ECDIS. Connect the cables to the Ethernet port - i.e.
include the ECDIS in the cluster.
If no backup is available:
With power off (the AC BREAKER popped out), install a DPU with a new SSD and the original
USB hardware key in main cabinet; do not connect any cables to the Ethernet ports at this time.
Carry out the initial installation described in
section 5.2 “Initial configuration of the Master
ECDIS”. Connect the cables to the Ethernet port - i.e. include the ECDIS in the cluster. Finalize the
installation as described in section 5.3 “Finalizing the configuration” and section 6 “Configuration
of the ECDIS software” .
8.3 Dump for support
Utilize this feature if help for troubleshooting is needed from Danelec Marine.
“Dump for support” can be started from a number of places:
8.3.1 From within the ECDIS software
1. Insert a USB stick in the USB port adjacent to the DVD drive
2. Open Main Menu

