Channels Setup Screen
This screen lets you choose the desired number of
AES
and
ADAT Channels
and the
Sync
source to use with this device.

Back Panel Switches
The
NORM-SLAVE
and
AES-ADAT
switches display the modes set by their respective back
panel switches (see
Model E-3A Modes
on page 23) and cannot be changed from this
screen.
Automix Channels
In AES mode:
1.
Navigate to
AES Channels
.
2.
Turn the knob to select
8
–
16
channels.
3.
By turning the knob past 16, you can add 8 or 16 ADAT channels.
In ADAT mode:
1.
Navigate to
ADAT Channels
.
2.
Turn the knob to select
8
or
16
channels.
To increase the number of mirrored channels, activate
Disable Linking
.
Note that using
16 ADAT channels automatically disables linking.
Reset to Default
Activating this button sets the Automix Channels to
16
AES or
8
ADAT, depending on
the mode.
