Operation
• If the device is powered by an external DC power supply unit (i.e. is not operated
with Power over Ethernet), interference caused by a ground loop may occur
in the analog video preview signal. In this case, use a video signal transformer
(balun) for galvanic (ground) isolation between the signal source (this camera)
and the RG-59 cable.
• In order to prevent damage to the device, a galvanic isolator (balun) must be
installed if the BNC interface is permanently in use.
• If the device or the cables connected to the device are located near sources
with strong radiation, the video image may be distorted.
• The device is equipped with Automatic Gain Control (AGC). In low-light condi-
tions the image may be altered (e.g. noise). This is not a malfunction.
• The quality of the video image depends on the lighting conditions and the used
monitor.
• The accuracy of the Automatic White Balance (AWB) algorithm depends on the
used lighting. Mixed light (consisting of artificial light and daylight) may cause
color distortions (inaccurate color reproduction).
• Poor lighting can lead to an incorrect white balance.
