10.3.2 Encoder 2
encoder 2 is disabled by default.
Note that the availability of the encoder 2 option depends on the settings made in the
encoder 1 tab.

Select the encoder 2 tab.

If required, activate the Use encoder checkbox to enable Encoder 2.

Select the required settings (see section “ Encoder 1 ” on page 57).

10.3.3 Audio In
In the Audio in tab, you can configure the processing (encoding) options of the analogue
audio signal coming from the built-in Audio IN port.

Select the Audio tab.

Select the format and bit rate with which the incoming analogue audio signals are sup-
posed to be encoded from the drop-down list Audiobitrate .

Confirm with oK .
The audio bit rate not only influences the audio quality but also, to a limited extent, the
required bandwidth and storage capacity.
The higher the audio bit rate, the better the audio quality. However, a higher bit rate
always requires a higher bandwidth usage (transmission capacity) and more hard disk
storage space than a lower bit rate.
