Self-acquired dose programming
Rotate the M dial knob and select the dose to be set, keep the M dial knob pushed for at least 6 seconds.
After 6 seconds, the selected L function will blink slowly to signal the adjusting mode. If you push the M
dial knob, you start pouring and the related L light starts blinking more quickly. The pouring ends
when the M dial knob is pushed once again and the new pouring time (for tea1-tea2 pouring) or coffee
dose (for coffee 1-2 pouring) is recorded. If the MCS is ON (optional), the tea2 mode is not available.
Espresso preparation
To obtain a constantly good coffee, it is necessary to keep the portafilter (
9
Pic.2) always attached to
the group head in order to keep it at the right temperature.
• Remove the portafilter (please beware of hot metal parts).
• Remove any possible coffee residues from the filter in the portafilter.
• Fill the filter with freshly ground coffee (1 dose for the single filter, 2 doses for the double filter),
press the ground coffee firmly with the manual tamper, remove any possible coffee residues from
the filter rim and attach the portafilter back to the group head.
• Rotate the M dial knob to select the desired pouring mode - position for the single shot,
for the double shot or L5 for the lever yoke manual pouring. For FLASH pouring, just lower the lever
yoke and lift it immediately afterwards.
• Push the M dial knob to start pouring if or
positions are selected. Conversely, if you confirm
the position, you will obtain the 2-secs flash mode. Immediately afterwards, move the lever yoke
gradually: the L13 to L17 lights will come on, depending on the position of the yoke itself.
WARNING
Avoid putting your hands under
the group when it is operating.
Do not touch the metal parts of group
or portafilter to avoid getting burned.
