Check if room sizes
meet the requirements
Start installation
Derive total charge limit from
graphs for lowest underground
floor and other floors.
See step 2 in the above text.
Determine room areas for all
rooms with indoor unit
installed, or served by ducted
indoor unit from another room.

Change installation:
1. Increase room area.
OR
2. Decrease piping length by changing
layout.
OR
3. Increase the installation height of the
unit or the height of the duct.
OR
4. Add additional countermeasures
as described in applicable legislation.

5. Fine-tune system with more detailed
calculations in VRV Xpress.

Unit installation
WARNING
The installation MUST comply with the requirements that
apply to this R32 equipment. For more information, see
"2.1 Instructions for equipment using R32 refrigerant"
6].
13.1
Preparing the installation site
WARNING
The appliance shall be stored in a room without
continuously operating ignition sources (example: open
flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric
heater).
13.1.1
Installation site requirements of the
outdoor unit
Mind the spacing guidelines. See the "Technical data" chapter, and
the figures on the inside of the front cover.
INFORMATION
The sound pressure level is less than 70 dBA.
CAUTION
Appliance NOT accessible to the general public. Install it in
a secured area, protected from easy access.
This unit is suitable for installation in a commercial and
light industrial environment.
The outdoor unit is designed for outdoor installation only, and for the
following ambient temperatures:
Heating
–20~21°C DB
–20~15.5°C WB
Cooling
–5~46°C DB
Note:
For indoor installation of the outdoor unit, check the applicable
legislation.

Additional installation site requirements
of the outdoor unit in cold climates
Protect the outdoor unit against direct snowfall and take care that the
outdoor unit is NEVER snowed up.

Snow might build up and freeze between the heat exchanger and
the casing of the unit. This might decrease the operating efficiency.
