4.12 Compressor Lock

Malfunction
Detection A compressor lock is detected by checking the compressor running condition through the
position detection circuit.

Conditions

The system judges the compressor lock, and stops due to over current.

The system judges the compressor lock, and cannot operation with position detection within
15 seconds after start up.

The system will be shut down if the error occurs 16 times.
„
Clearing condition: Continuous run for about 10 minutes (normal)

Troubleshooting
Note: If the model doesn’t have SPM, replace the outdoor unit PCB.
Turn off the power. Disconnect the
harnesses U, V and W.

Correct the power supply or
replace the SPM.
(Replace the outdoor unit
PCB.)
Replace the compressor.
Check the electronic
expansion valve.
Replace it as required.
Replace the compressor.
