The door seals may seem very tight for the first few days. This is
normal and does not indicate a fault.
WARNING
It must be possible to disconnect the appliance from the mains power
supply; the plug must therefore be easily accessible after installation.
Electrical Connection
Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the
rating plate correspond to your domestic power supply. This appliance
MUST BE PLUGGED in an EARTHED SOCKET. The power supply cable plug
is provided with contact for this purpose. If the domestic power supply is
not earthed, connect the appliance to a separate earth in compliance
with current regulations, consulting qualified electrician. The
manufacturer declines all responsibility if the above safety precaution are
not observed.
For the appliance:
If you are using a socket with an earthed terminal, you do not
require a separate earthed connection.
Use of a non-earthed socket:
Connect the “earthed wire” to the steel plate and bury it at depth
of at least 25cm in the ground.
1. Ventilation
Do not block air vents. If they are blocked during operation, the oven may
overheat and eventually cause a failure. For proper ventilation, allow
above 20cm of space between freezer sides, rear and the minimum
height of free space necessary above the top surface of the freezer is
70cm.
2. Steady, flat location
This oven should be set on a steady, flat surface. This freezer is designed
for domestic use only.
3. Leave space behind and side
All air vents should be kept a clearance. If all vents are covered during
operation, the appliance may overheat and, eventually, failure.
4. Away from radio and TV sets
Poor television reception and radio interference may result if the oven is
located close to a TV, Radio antenna, feeder and so on. Position the
freezer as far from them as possible.
5. Away from heating appliance and water taps
Keep the oven away from hot air, steam or Splash when choosing a place
to position it, or the insulation might be adversely affected and
breakdowns occur.
The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as
radiators, boilers, direct sunlight etc. Ensure that air can circulate freely
around the backa of the cabinet. To ensure best performance if the
appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit the minimum
distance between the top of the cabinet and the wall unit must be at least
20 cm ideally. However the appliance should not be positioned below
overhanging wall units. Accurate levelling is ensured by one or more
adjustable feet at the base of the cabinet.
