Steer Axle

Remove Steer Axle

Be sure the pressure in the hydraulic system is
released before any lines or hoses are disconnected.

Put the lift truck in position on tooling (A).

Put identification marks on hoses (1); then discon-
nect them.

Put a floor jack in position under the steer axle.

Loosen axle mounting bolts (2) until approximately
two bolt threads are left in the mounting bosses.

Lower the steer axle onto the bolt heads with the
floor jack. disconnect the hydraulic lines from the
steering cylinder.

Remove bolts (2) and mounting caps (3) from the
steer axle.

Remove steer axle (4). Weight of the steer axle is
200 kg(440 lb).

Install Steer Axle
