MAINTENANCE 25
1. Always check oil level before starting.
2. Wait at least 5 minutes after shutdown to get an accurate
oil level reading.
3. Wipe the dipstick clean, insert it all the way in and remove
to get the correct oil level reading.
4. If the oil level is below the lower mark on the dipstick, add
oil through the fill port on top of the engine.
5. For best results, it is recommended that the oil level be kept
at the upper mark.
6. Engine oil quantity.
CHECKING AND ADDING ENGINE OIL
CHANGING ENGINE OIL
1. Change the oil after the first 50 hours of operation.
2. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan and allow all of the
oil to drain. Draining the oil will be easier when the engine
is slightly warm.
3. Reinstall the plug and fill with the correct amount of oil
through the fill port on top of the engine. Ensure that the oil
level on the dipstick is at the upper mark.
4. Change the oil after every 100 hours of operation thereafter.
7. Use SAE 15W40 oil or equivalent.
8. Always drain the oil completely when changing. Never mix
different oils or engine damage may result.
