Refrigerator Use
Replacing the Water Filter
Follow these instructions when using a water filter for the
first time, changing a filter, or using the water bypass plug.
The Water Bypass Plug is:
Factory installed and inside your new refrigerator
Kept nearby and never discarded
ALWAYS used when a water filter is not available
Replace the Water Filter when:
"Replace Filter" button on the control panel lights
Approximately six months passes between changes
Water output decreases
Ice cubes are smaller than usual
Removing the Plug or Filter:
1. Grasp both sides of the cover and squeeze to
release the locks.
2. Slowly pull the end of the cover downward.
The cover will lay open but stay attached at the
back.
3. Grab the tip of the plug or filter and pull it
completely down.
4. Turn and pull the plug or filter out of the hole.

IMPORTANT
WATER DRAINAGE:
Removing the bypass plug or water filter
allows about 2 Tbs (29.5 cc) of water to drain from the system.
Place a dish under the valve to collect dripping water.
Hold the used water filter upright so water will not pour out.
WARNING
WATER BYPASS PLUG:
The water bypass plug acts as a
stopper and prevents water from flowing out.
This plug MUST be used when a water filter is not available.
Keep this Water Bypass Plug for future use.
