Section 3 - Installation

RAID 5 -

This option combines space from three of your hard drives and

uses the fourth drive as a parity drive. Please skip to “RAID 5” on page

47 to continue the setup process using this option.

RAID 10 -

This option protects data against loss of non-adjacent disks and

uses the disk striping technique to speed up operation when retrieving

data from disk storage. Please skip to “RAID 10” on page 50 to continue

the setup process using this option.

Note

: You can skip this step if you have set up this system before. RAID 10

requires a minimum of 4 hard drives to operate correctly.
