SNMP
The Simple Network Management Protocol is an application layer protocol that facilitates the exchange of management information between
network devices. It helps network administrators to remotely manage network devices and find, solve network problems with ease.
Enable SNMPv1, SNMPv2c:
Read/Write Community:
Read Only Community:
Enable SNMPv3:
Read/Write and Read Only
Security Names:
Authentication Type:
Authentication/Encryption
Password:
Select this to enable SNMPv1 and 2.
Enter a name for the read community of your SNMP
server.
Enter a name for the write community of your SNMP
server.
Select this to enable SNMPv3. You will need to ask your
network administrator for the SNMP authentication
information and input them into the fields below.
Enter custom names for your read/write and read only
SNMP accounts in the text boxes.
Select the authentication protocol used for SNMP
exchanges between this user and the local SNMP engine.
SHA and MD5 protocols are supported.
Enter the authentication and encryption passwords for
your read/write and read only SNMP accounts in these
boxes.
