4. CHECK YOUR WORK.
MAKE SURE
the aircraft seat belt is tight and
locked. If you can move the child restraint more
than 1 in. (2.5 cm) side to side or front to back at
the
REAR-FACING
belt path, the belt is not tight
enough and you
MUST
install again until the seat
belt is tight.
5. SECURE CHILD WITH HARNESS.
Place child in restraint and follow “Securing Child
with Harness” section, see pages 92-97.
6. UNFASTEN SENSORSAFE CHEST
CLIP DURING TAXI, TAKEOFF, AND
LANDING
In order to comply with the FAA regulation for
Portable Electronic Devices (PED), the SensorSafe
Chest Clip
MUST
be unfastened during taxi, take-
off, and landing. The SensorSafe Chest Clip may
be refastened during flight or once the plane has
safely landed and the use of electronic devices is
permitted by the flight crew.
