4.2 Unpacking
Inspect the Battery Backup Unit upon receipt. The box should contain the following:

4.3 Prior to Installation
Installation of the unit must be performed by skilled technicians and electricians familiar with
electrical equipment. Do not allow unqualified personnel to handle, install, or operate the
equipment. The installation must comply with both the requirements of the National Electrical
Code (ANSI/NFPA 70, latest issue), and local codes.
CAUTION:
When batteries are installed in the UPS, the total weight will exceed 50 pounds. Make
sure the fasteners used to attach to the wall are of sufficient strength to securely hold the UPS.
