6 Engine overheats.
z
Insufficient engine coolant. • Add engine coolant.
• Check the radiator and the lines to and
from the radiator for leakage. If leakage is
found, contact your local Cub Cadet
Yanmar dealer for technical assistance.
z Overloaded engine. • Operate the tractor carefully and
moderately. Avoid overloading.
z Insufficiently tensioned fan belt, or
broken fan belt.
• Adjust the fan belt to the specified tension
value, or replace fan belt if broken or
damaged.
z
The radiator core is blocked. • Check for dirt accumulated in the radiator
core and grille screen.
z Poor engine coolant quality. • It is possible that sludge has accumulated
on the engine water jacket. Contact your
local Cub Cadet Yanmar dealer for
technical assistance.
Symptom Cause Remedy
1 Machine vibrates
excessively.
z Engine speed is too low • Run the engine at an appropriate higher
speed.
z
The Power Take Off (PTO) connecting
the tractor with the mounted implement
is not properly and securely connected.
• Disconnect the Power Take Off (PTO)
shaft, and properly reconnect it. Check if
excessive vibration reoccurs. If excessive
vibration persists, immediately stop
operation and contact your local Cub
Cadet Yanmar dealer for technical
assistance.
z Water is trapped in the fuel filter (water
sedimentor).
• Drain the fuel filter water sedimentor.
Check for water in the fuel tank, drain as
necessary.
z The engine throttle cable and linkage
have not been correctly adjusted.
• Contact your local Cub Cadet Yanmar
dealer for technical assistance.
2 Engine starts
successfully, but
the tractor fails to
operate.
z Parking brake is engaged. • Disengage the parking brake.
z
Insufficient transmission/hydraulic oil,
deteriorated transmission/hydraulic oil
or clogged transmission/hydraulic oil
filter.
• Check the amount and quality of the oil.
Replace deteriorated oil. Refill as
necessary. Check the filter for clogging,
and replace the clogged filter with a new
one.
z Transmission/hydraulic oil is too cold. • Start the engine. Operate the tractor when
the engine has fully warmed up.
