CVT Drive and brake system

Roll the lower drive belt out of the lower sheave
of the variable speed pulley. See Figure 6.43.

Unbolt variable speed pulley bracket from the
transaxle using a 3/8” wrench.

Loosen, then remove the bolts that hold the vari-
able speed pulley bracket to the frame using a 1/
2” wrench. See Figure 6.44.

Lift the variable speed pulley and bracket out of
the tractor.

Clamp the pulley and bracket assembly
into a vise, gripping the center shaft of the
variable speed pulley.

holder off of the pulley.

Clamp the variable speed pulley bracket
into a vise. Match-mark he bracket to the
