The device is designed to operate household electrical consumers with a maximum
power of 500 watts.
It should be noted that for some consumers, the power consumption when starting
can be up to 3 times the nominal power; this must always be taken into account and
can mean that certain devices cannot be operated with the TRAVELBOX even
though the nominal power is less than 500 watts, for example.
The device can also be used as an emergency power supply for a PC and the corre-
sponding peripherals, for example. The re
sponse time in case of a power failure is ≤
5 ms. This means that this device can also be operated if a charging process is being
carried out simultaneously. In this case the charger is connected to the device and
the power supply and the devices to be operated are connected to the 230 V~ socket
of the TRAVELBOX.
Several devices (DC / AC) can also be charged or operated at the same time. (take
maximum power from the technical data). The total power output must not exceed
500 watts. Please always observe the maximum output power of the respective con-
nections.
The following connection possibilities for the different consumers are available:
1. 230 V~ sockets (2x):
230 V
500 watt (sine wave)
2. USB 2.0 (3x):
5 V, 2.4 A
max. 36 watt (total)
3. USB 3.0 (1x):
5 V, 3 A / 9 V, 2 A
max. 18 watt
4. USB-C (1x):
5 V, 3 A / 9 V, 2 A
max. 18 watt
5. 12 V universal connection (1x):
9-12 V, 15 A
max. 180 watt
6. 12 V connection sockets DC (3x): 9-12 V, 8 A
max. 96 watt
As an example, the operating time of some devices typically operated with the
TRAVELBOX:
Consumer / device
Performance on full battery charge
Mp3 Player / iPod touch (1040 mAh)
110+ charges
Cool box (20-40 watt)
24
– 48+ h running time
Music box / JBL Charge 4 (7950 mAh)
14+ charges
Kettle (12 V / 120 watt)
8.5 l hot water
LED lighting (4 watt)
100+ h light
Laptop (60 watt)
7+ charges
Tablet / iPad (32.4 Wh)
13+ charges
The data presented here constitutes reference values and can vary considerably de-
pending on the ambient temperature and device model. You should in any case know
the respective power consumption of the devices to be connected.
Certain devices that vary in power consumption depending on the operating status or
with reactive power compensation might not be able to operate even if the specified
nominal power is less than 500 W.
When using extension cables or mobile distribution networks, a maximum length of
60 m must not be exceeded for a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm
2
. A length of 100 m
must not be exceeded for a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm
2
. Use flexible rubber ex-
tension cables only, which corresponds to the brief design description H07RN-F.
