SPARK ARRESTER MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:
If the generator has been running, the
muffler will be very hot. Allow it to cool before proceeding.

NOTE:
The spark arrester must be serviced every
100 hours to maintain its efficiency, or a decrease in
horsepower may occur.
1.
Remove the exhaust grille to access the spark arrester.
2.
Remove the self-tapping screw holding the spark arrester
to the muffler.
3.
Clean the spark arrester with a stiff wire brush.
4.
Replace the spark arrester if the wire mesh is perforated
or torn.
5. Reinstall the spark arrester.
6.
Reinstall the exhaust grill
CLEAN THE GENERATOR
1.
Clean the exterior part of the generator. Use only damp
cloth with mild detergent. Avoid excess moisture.
2. Store the generator in a dry and well-ventilated place,
with a clean cloth covered.
3.
The generator must remain in a vertical position when
stored, carried and operated.
