Split grommet for mid-span applications. Includes central member strain-
relief capability.
step 1:
Determine cable entry location and remove the required knockouts. Start at the rear corner
and work toward the front and center.
step 2:
Strain-relieve the cable as detailed in the instruction provided with the cable-entry hardware
kit.
step 3:
remove cable sheath as described in the sheath removal instructions for the cable you
are installing. Suggested lengths shown here can be altered for particular preferences or
specific applications.

If you are installing cable with multiple buffer tubes that will be looped in the enclosure, use a mid-
span access kit (p/n OSE-A288-MSPN-KIT, purchased separately) to access the fiber in one buffer
tube without disturbing the other buffer tubes.
•
If you are installing ribbon cable or cable with single tube construction that will be looped in the
enclosure, use a breakout kit (p/n OSE-a288-Scr-36 and -38, purchased separately). The
breakout kit contains grommets and strain-relief hardware.
step 4:
Ground armored cable as illustrated in the instruction provided with the cable-entry
hardware kit. additional ground kits (p/n hDWr-GrND-KIT) may be purchased separately.)

Place a splice tray in the bottom position in the splice tray stacker assembly.
