DIS
Distance Sensor
The distance sensor does not require any calibration or adjustment. It is possible to check only the correct reading.
Remove the distance sensor and move it forwards and backwards to check the correct reading of the magnetic band. The values
shown on the left display are expressed in millimeters and must correspond to the graduated scale.
The distance is always measured in millimeters. Make sure that the sensors of the distance-diameter board touch the surface of the
graduated scale to prevent mechanical stress. When the distance sensor is close to the standby position (about 3 mm away), the
buzzer is triggered to indicate the correct reading of the circular magnet reference zero.
WARNING: DO NOT EXPOSE THE MAGNETIC BANDS TO MAGNETIC FIELDS SO AS TO AVOID
MALFUNCTIONING! Remember that many objects can be source of magnetic fields (e.g. other
magnets, speakers, electric motors, some mechanical tools, and mechanical parts with residual
magnetisation).
