8 • Upper tyre bead coupling (fig. 21) A-B-C
- Create enough space between the rim
and the tyre with the bead breaker disc
to allow the demounting tool to tilt.
- Operate control 28 for demount tool (A-
B-C) tilting.
- It is important to rotate the turntable
slightly to facilitate engagement of the
bead.
- For easier bead coupling, it might be very
helpful to use the bead breaker disc on
the lower part of the tyre.
- To perform this, use control 23.

• Upper bead demounting (fig. 22)
- Check that the tool has engaged with the
tyre bead.
- Operate (control 28) to get the machine
ready for the subsequent demounting
operation (performed with the wheel at
a standstill and not rotating).
- Make sure that the tyre has not beaded in
on the operator's side. If necessary, use a
clamp and/or a bed presser.
- Only then operate pedal (15) until the
bead is completely demounted.
- Here again, it might be helpful to use the
