Set the desired speed with buttons “+/-” (6 fig.6)
while reading the value on the display (7 fig.6) to
set the same speed in metres for all heads.
Set the electronic phase shifter with the rela-
tive button (2 fig.6), reading the setting from
the indicator LEDs 1 and 2. Cone acceleration
occurs every 8” if LED 1 is lit and every 16” if
LED 2 is lit; cone acceleration is disabled if both
LEDs are off.
These functions are used to prevent creasing,
selecting 1-2-0 in relation to the slipperiness of
the yarn and depending on whether the yarn is
coarse or fine.
Select by pressing the yellow button on the dis-
play panel. To adjust these settings if necessary,
set the display panel as required. To programme,
press and hold band - (6 fig.6) simulta-
neously for 4-5 seconds. As soon as the display
starts to flash (7 fig.6) press the yellow button
(2 fig.6). Each time the button is pressed, a dif-
ferent message is displayed (maximum speed,
minimum speed, 1-1-1 speed offset, 2-2-2 speed
offset). Press the b or - (6 fig.6) to modify
each function as required. For speed offset set-
tings, the first 1 or 2 indicates the frequency in
seconds, the second 1 or 2 indicates the duration
of the acceleration while the third 1 or 2 indicates
the percentage acceleration. After adjusting
the values as required, press the yellow button
repeatedly to display the maximum speed of
1200 metres; now press and hold b and
- (6 fig.6) for 4-5 seconds to store the settings.
Do not set excessive speed offsets as this may
cause yarn droppage. Preferably set low speed
offset percentages for high speeds and higher
percentages for low speeds.
Instructions
a) Winding
To route the yarn from cone to cone, thread the
yarn through yarn guide 8 fig.7, through yarn
guide 9 fig.7, behind the yarn brake pin 20 fig.7,
between the bars 11 fig.7 and the slub catcher 14
fig.7, through the waxer 24 fig.7, through the yarn
guide 12 fig.7 and under the bar 13 fig.7. Bar 10
fig.7 may also be used to increase tension.
b) Yarn braking
On the post-dyeing version, the braking intensity
is adjusted as described previously. Usually, use
the yarn brake 20 fig.7 at its minimum setting to

ing, keep the hands away
from the arm and the roller
while the machine is operat-

- Turn the machine on with the main switch 1
fig.6.
- Turn on the electronic phase shifter with switch
2 fig.6 on the control panel 3 fig.6.
- Use the relative starter button (6 fig.8) to start
each roller.
- Press the STOP button (7 fig.8) to stop a
roller.
- Use the main switch 1 fig. 6 to stop all rollers
simultaneously.
General hints
To obtain evenly wound cones, never make ad-
justments (to speed, phase shift, yarn braking,
waxing, threading) during cone formation.
It is not advisable to use compressed air to
clean the machine as this will spread yarn fluff
over the mechanical moving parts and electronic
components.
CAUTION
Before removing cover panels to replace a fuse
or a circuit board, always switch the machine OFF,
disconnect the power supply cable from the con-
trol panel and wait a few minutes to allow residual
voltage to discharge from the capacitors.
