INSTALLING THE BLADE GUARD
WARNING:
The blade guard
must be installed on the hedge trimmer
at all times except when the hedge
trimmer is being operated. Carrying or
storing the hedge trimmer without the
blade guard installed may result in
serious personal injury.
1. Slide the blade guard (1) over the
cutting blades (2) (Fig. 3).
2. Make sure the blade guard slides
fully onto the cutting blades to
ensure all cutting teeth are covered
(Fig. 4).
CHARGING THE POWER CELL
Instructions for charging the Power Cell
are packed with the charger. Please
read all safety warnings and charging
instructions.
MOTOR CONTROL SWITCHES
To prevent the hedge trimmer from
inadvertently starting, there are three
switches that must be activated before
the hedge trimmer will turn ON.
DANGER:
Prior to activating any
switches, be sure to be securely holding
the hedge trimmer with both hands, one
on each of the two handles. Keep your
hands and body parts away from the
cutting blades.
1. Pull the HI/START switch (1) back
to the LO/OFF position (Fig. 5).
2. Squeeze and hold the lockout
switch (2) with the palm of your
hand.
