Red Lentil Soup
Ingredients
Preparation
• Lightly fry the onions before adding to the jug
• Add the lentils to the jug, with the chopped onion and potatoes.
• Add the stock to under the maximum line.
• Select programme 1.
• Serve with hot fresh bread.
Peppered Mushroom Soup
Ingredients
Preparation
• Add the chopped mushrooms, leek and onions to the jug
• Add in a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of ground rainbow peppercorns and the litre of stock up
to the maximum line.
• Select programme 1.
• Serve with a little cream to temper the slightly spicy taste of the peppercorns.
• Decorate with some chopped chives.
200g Split Red Lentils, rinse and
soak in water for half an hour before
cooking. 1L Stock, to taste - Beef, Chicken or
Vegetable.
200g Potatoes 1 teaspoon Cracked and Ground Black
Pepper
1 Chopped Onion
400g Mushrooms, washed and
chopped.
200g Chopped Leek and Onion Salt
1 teaspoon Ground Rainbow
Peppercorns 1L Beef Stock
Chopped Chives (To Decorate)
1 Teaspoon Double Cream Per Person.
