The tank must be drained of water
before the appliance is stored.
At the end of each season, or more often if
heavily used, it is advisable to carry out
some simple maintenance on your Convair
cooler.
This will help maintain its high
performance.

access to the filter, remove the filter cartridge
by disengaging the clips at the top and
pivoting it backwards.
1. Drain the water from the appliance. Move
it to a drain and remove the drain plug
located on the bottom of the tank. When the
appliance is empty replace the plug in the
tank.

3. To gain access to the inside of the
appliance remove the rear panel by
disengaging the clips at the top. Pivot the
rear panel backwards and lift it off. Take care
when removing the rear panel as water may
drip from the cooling pad secured to the
inside of the panel.
4. Wash the cooling pad with a gentle spray
of water while it is still in the rear panel. Do
not use a high pressure hose to clean the
pad. Replace the pad if salt has built-up on
the pad as it will reduce the Convair cooler’s
performance.
