C. CONNECTION
WARNING
The cooktop must be installed by a qualified professional.
The device should not be connected with an extension or a multiple plug (fire
hazard).
The power cable must not touch the hot parts.
The cable must not be bent or compressed.
The cable must be checked regularly and must be replaced only by a
qualified technician. He must ensure that the electrical connection is correct
and conforms to local standards.
If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
after sales service or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
Before connecting the device to the power socket, check that:
1. the internal wiring system is adapted to the power absorbed by the cooking
plate.
2. the voltage corresponds to the data given on the nameplate
3. power cable sections can withstand the specified load on the plate.
Power must be connected in compliance with current standards, or a single-pole
circuit breaker. The connection method is illustrated below.
1. If the cable is damaged or needs replacing, this should be done by an
after-sales technician using the proper tools, so as to avoid any accidents.
2. If the appliance is being connected directly to the mains supply, an omnipolar
circuit breaker must be installed with a minimum gap of 3mm between the
contacts.
