3.8.3. Fitting the Shield Cover

Damage to internal devices may occur if the terminals on the interface connector are subject to

excessive static electricity. Please fit the supplied shield cover to the connector if there is a risk of
excessive static electricity.

The shield cover is not required if there is no risk of excessive static electricity such as when
installed in an enclosure housing.
