Safety instructions and indication of risk
Damage caused by non-compliance with this operating manual
will mean that the warranty lapses! We accept no liability for sub-
sequent damage!
We accept no liability for damage to items or injury to persons
caused by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety
instructions! The warranty shall lapse in such cases.
• For reasons of safety and licensing (CE), any arbitrary conversion of and/or alter-
ation to the electrical devices is prohibited.
• All persons who operate, install, set up, commission or service this mixer must be
trained and qualified appropriately and observe these operating instructions.
• The device may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations, any
high degree of dampness such as, for example, dripping or spray water or heavy
mechanical stress.
• The mixer is only licensed for operation in dry, closed rooms.
• Do not place vessels, for example glasses, vases etc, on the device. Never pour
out liquids over the device. Do not put small objects such as coins, paper clips
onto the device as these could fall into the interior. There is the greatest risk of fire
or a fatal electric shock. If liquid or any object gets into the interior of the device
nevertheless, pull the mains plug out of the socket and contact a specialist.
• Only a mains socket (230V~/50Hz) for the public supply grid may be used as a
source of power. Never attempt to operate the device on any other voltage.
• Electric devices have no place in the hands of children. Exercise care in the pres-
ence of children. Children could attempt to poke objects into the device. There is a
risk of a fatal electric shock.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic foil or bags,
styropore parts etc. could become a dangerous toy for children.
• When opening covers or removing parts, apart from when this is possible by hand,
parts under current can be exposed. Points of connection can also be under cur-
rent. Before any alignment, servicing, a repair or replacement of parts or assem-
blies, the device must be disconnected from all sources of current if the device has
to be opened. If servicing or repair on the opened device under current cannot be
avoided, this may only be carried out by a specialist who is familiar with the asso-
ciated risks and the relevant regulations for this.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions for the other parts of the music
centre.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s
Liability Insurance Association for electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.

Cross-fading:
With the CROSS-FADER (9) you can cross-fade between the signals of the ports
which have been adjusted using the switches ASSIGN (6.
- The one channel is faded out by operating the CROSS-FADER (9) (becomes softer),
at the same time the other channel being faded in becomes louder).
- At the central position, both channels are played back at the same time.
Handling
• Never insert the mains plug immediately into the mains socket when the device
has been taken from a cold room into a warm room. The condensation arising
could under certain circumstance destroy the device.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before it is plugged in. Wait until
the condensation has evaporated; this can take some hours.
• Mains plugs may never be plugged in or removed with wet hands.
• Never pull out the mains plug by the cable; pull it out of the mains socket only by
the grips intended for this purpose.
• in case of a longer period of non-use, pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
• To ensure sufficient ventilation, there must be a free area of 5 cm around the mix-
er. Apart from this, the air circulation may not be hindered by objects such as
magazines, table cloths, curtains or similar.
• For safety reasons, always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket during a
storm.
• Music should not be heard for a longer period at excessive volume. Your hearing
can be damaged by this. This applies in particular when using headphones.
Servicing and maintenance
Before you clean the device or service it, please observe the following safety instruc-
tions:
Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
Any repair or opening of the device may only take place through a
specialist who is familiar with the associated risks and relevant
regulations.
Before servicing or repair, all connected devices must be disconnected from the
power supply.
The device is service-free, never open it. If you open the device, the claim to warran-
ty will lapse.
