Intended Use

This plug adaptor can be used to activate a device connected to it via motion detection. The acti-
vation duration, motion detection sensitivity and brightness at which the connected device will
be activated when motion is detected can be set.

The adapter with motion detector is only suitable for dry indoor use.

Power is supplied by way of a 230 V/AC 50 Hz wall outlet 

Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks,
such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock. Do not change or modify any part of the product.

The safety instructions and technical data must be observed without fail.

Symbols

The lightning bolt icon in a triangle is used to alert you to potential personal injury

caused by improper use or failure

• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of the product is inad-

missible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).

• The product is designed in conformity with protection class 2. The only voltage

source that may be used is the correct mains socket-(230V/50Hz, with grounding
conductor) of the public supply system.

• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Particular

care must therefore be exercised if children are around. Children might try to put
objects through the openings of the power outlet for example. There is the risk of
a fatal electric shock!

• The adapter with motion detector is only suitable for dry indoor use.

• Never touch the product or the mains plug to be connected to the front socket with

wet or damp hands. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!

• Never pull a plug inserted in the adapter's front socket at the cable. Always pull

the plug from the front socket in the adapter by the gripping area provided on the
side.

• Do not overload the product (observe connection power as indicated in the tech-

nical data at the end of these operating instructions!).

• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for

children.

• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows or when

dropped even from a low height.

• If the product housing is damaged, do not use the product any more! If still con-

nected to the mains, do not touch the adapter with motion detector or any con-
nected device. Switch off the mains outlet to which the adapter with motion detec-
tor is connected first (switch off the circuit breaker). Then you can remove the
adapter with motion detector from the mains socket. Take the product to a spe-
cialist workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.

• Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed

unless this can be done by hand. Terminals may also be under power. If the appli-
ance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing, repairing or replacing parts or
assemblies, it must be disconnected from all power sources first. If servicing or
repairs inside the appliance are necessary, this must be carried out by a special-
ist who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant regulations.

• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:

- the device shows visible damage,
-  the unit does not operate any longer and
-  the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions 

or

- after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport

• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s

Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.

• If the product is used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself or hobby work-

shops, it has to be supervised by trained personnel.

When selecting the position for installing your camera, please note that it
must not be subject to direct sunlight, vibrations, moisture and wetness,
dust, heat or cold. This may lead to wrong activation, failure or functional
impairment. 
The motion detector  is only suitable for dry indoor use. 

Do not locate any devices with strong magnetic or electric fields, such as
mobile phones, electric motors, etc. in the immediate vicinity.

Recommended mounting or operating height: 1.5 metres.
