No sound:

•   Is the input signal a DVI signal? DVI signals do not contain a sound signal; the sound connec-

tion must be made with separate cables.

•  Check all plug-in connections.
•  Check the connecting cables. Is a cable damaged? Are the cables suitable for audio and

video transmission?

•  You might need to reset the router. Turn off the router, with the main POWER switch (1);

unplug the power unit and wait about 5 minutes. Then re-start the device as described above
in this manual.

Handling

•   Never plug the power unit’s mains plug into a mains socket immediately after the device has

been taken from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might damage
your unit.

Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation

has evaporated.

•   Never remove mains plugs from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Always pull out the

mains plug by gripping it on the surfaces provided for the purpose.

•   Always disconnect the power unit from the mains socket, if the device is not going to be used

for a while.

•   For safety reasons, always remove the power unit’s mains plug from the mains socket during

thunderstorms.

Maintenance and Care

The router does not need to be serviced and, except for occasional cleaning with a soft, dry
cloth, requires no care whatsoever.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current

statutory requirements.

Disposal of used batteries/storage batteries

The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!

Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to

indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can
return free of charge your used batteries/rechargeable batteries to the of

fi

 cial col-

lection points in your community, in our stores, or everywhere where batteries or
rechargeable batteries are sold.

You thereby ful

fi

l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

•  Connect the input INPUT (7) with the output of your AV source (e.g. DVD player, SAT receiver).
•   Connect the outputs OUTPUT 1-16 (6) with the inputs on your TVs, monitors, projectors, etc.
•   If the device, for example, is mounted in a rack and no visual connection is possible between

the remote control and the router, connect the IR receiver enclosed with the connection IR
EXT. (8) and place the IR receiver where there is visual contact with the remote control. In
this way, the function of the remote control is also assured with rack installation etc. For con-
necting between the IR EXT. port (8) and IR receiver, a suitable cable is enclosed.

If the connection cable enclosed is too short, a cable up to 300m long with 3.5mm stereo jack

plugs on both ends can be used between the router and the external IR receiver.

••

 •   Plug the power cable into the corresponding socket on the power supply.
•   Insert the power unit’s low-voltage plug into the connector socket INPUT DC 12V (9).
•  Plug the mains plug into a wall mains socket.

Operation

•  Switch on the router, with the POWER main switch (1).
•  The power indicator on the main switch (1) will light up.
•   To switch the router to Standby, point the remote control at the IR receiver (4) on the device,

or the external IR receiver, and press the POWER OFF button.

•   To switch the router back on, point the remote control at the IR receiver (4) on the device, or

the external IR receiver, and press the POWER ON button.

•   Activate the corresponding HDMI-compatible inputs on your monitors, TVs, etc. (see instruc-

tions for the devices in question).

•  Start playback on your AV source.
•  The INPUTS STATUS display (2) lights up, as soon as an input signal is recognized.
•  The OUTPUTS STATUS display (3) shows the active outputs.

Troubleshooting

By purchasing this router you have acquired a product that has been designed to the state of
the art and is operationally reliable.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe here how to eliminate any possible faults.

Please, always follow the safety instructions!
