• If the device is used with other devices e.g. a monitor, the operating instructions

and safety notices for the connected devices must be followed.

• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal super-

vision of children, or people who require special assistance, but only serves as a
support to this supervision.

• After rapid changes in temperature, the camera requires some time to stabilise,

in order to adjust to the ambient temperature, before it can be used.

Installation

None of the connection cables must be bent or squeezed. This can result in
malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.

Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting into place.

Take care not to place the device in direct sunlight and protect it from vibration,
dust, heat, cold, and moisture. Further, please observe the values for the operating
temperature range stated in the „Technical Data“.

Proceed as follows, to ensure the correct installation:

• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.

Installation options

• Two mounting brackets are provided. One is used for

ceiling mounting the other one is a mounting plate for
hidden installation. Use the desired mounting bracket,
mark the fixing holes for the bracket, or the plate, where it
is to be installed.

• Drill the holes.
• Fasten the mounting base into place using appropriate

installation material.

• Screw the camera on to the mounting base.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position and then tighten

the locking screws on the mounting base.

Do not point the camera directly toward a source of bright sunlight or towards strong
or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure and a fuzzy picture.

Connection

To provide the suitable voltage supply, an optional power transformer is
required (recommended: 12 V/DC, 300 mA, plug polarity: inside=plus,
outside=minus). When acquiring this power transformer, check that the
polarity of the low-voltage plug of the power transformer corresponds to the
polarity marked on the low-voltage connector of the camera.
The wrong polarity can cause damage to the camera!

Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:

• Connect the BNC connector of the camera to the video input on your display (e.g. monitor).
• Connect the low voltage plug from your power transformer (not included in the delivery) to the

low voltage connection on the camera.

• Plug the power transformer into a domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Turn your display device on and set the appropriate channel, to enable the display function.
