• Now you can close the outdoor sensor battery compartment and screw it on if you have not
done so yet.
• After sensor search, the weather station starts scanning for the DCF signal; the symbol “
”
flashes when a time signal is recognised.
If no outdoor sensors were found yet, scanning for the outdoor sensor can be
started again manually later.
Do not press any buttons on the weather station while scanning for the DCF signal; do not
move the weather station! Also observe the information on DCF reception in chapter 9. a).
DCF signal search may take a few minutes.
If the symbol “
” does not flash evenly, place the weather station somewhere else (e.g.
at a window, etc.).
• After proper recognition and assessment of the DCF signal, the time is displayed.
If no correct time is displayed after 10 minutes either, you may either start a new
sensor search or set the time manually.
• Then insert two type AA/Mignon batteries in the battery compartment (7) of the weather
station. The batteries are only backup batteries in case of power outage. Close the battery
compartment again.
Do not operate the weather station without the plug-in mains adapter; otherwise,
battery service life will be very short.
• The weather station is now ready for operation.
